28 Apr 2008 - Carnival 2nd April Meeting

At the Meeting on the 28th April 2008 the Agenda was as followed: Entertainment, Procession, Stalls, Programme, Accounts, Crofton Centre, Carnival Plan and Any other Business.

Our Next meeting will be held at Crofton Community Centre, 12th May 2008, 7:30pm

Entertainment:

Arena Events: Punch and Judy Shows X 4 Performances and Clown and Car Show X 1 Performance will be booked using styletrax booking.

Other Event, details of further events where not discussed.

Procession: Please contact Crofton Carnival for more Information.

Stalls:

Advertising, Mrs Young will hand out some Book Interactive posters,

A number of stalls have booked we awaiting payment from some,

Mrs Young and Mrs Broom will attend the Carnival with a mobile food van because the Centre Cafe will not reopen.

Programme:

We are awaiting replies from (Wakefield) businesses which have been contacted about advertising in the 2008 Carnival Programme.

No reply from any local businesses to advertise on the new layout programme.

Any other Business:

Insurance for P.A System, We will need to find Insurance once the P.A System is one year old and out of grantee, Maplin will be contacted about extended warranty.

Yorkshire Day: A fundraising idea using Crofton Parish Centre will be held on Saturday 2nd August to celebrate Yorkshire Day.

VOX Network, Chris will attend the Extraordinary General Meeting of VOX on Thursday 15th May.

Three Committee Members application forms have been received from Mrs Young, Mrs Broom and Ms Hardiman all will be send a letter of acceptance to the committee.
