Crofton Carnival 2008.

 

The Carnival now in it's 8th year will be held on Saturday 21st June 2008 at Crofton Community Centre. The theme for the 2008 Carnival and Procession will be Holidays so be sure to pack you grass skirt, the Carnival Procession will leave the Millennium Stone at 12 noon towards the community Centre.

 

Up to Date Arena Events: Crofton Starlighting Majorettes, K9 Dog Display Team and more will be added when confirmation has been received.

Stall Information.

 

There are three ways to book a stall at Crofton Carnival 2008.

Pick up a booking form from: Crofton Library or Crofton Community Centre.

2008 Stall Tariffs.

  • Local (Crofton Residents Only): £7:50,
  • External (Non Crofton Resident) : £15:00,
  • Charities: £5:00.

 

Information for Stall Holders

  • Crofton Carnival is held at Crofton Community Centre, New Crofton, Wakefield, WF4 1LB,
  • Stall Holders will need to arrive at the Community Centre on Saturday 21 June 2008 no later than 10:00pm,
  • On Arrival at Crofton Carnival Stall Holders will need to make your self know to one of the attendants,
  • Stall Holders please provide your own tables (tables will not be available),
  • The committee advise Stall Holders to bring a form of shelter from all weather conditions,
  • Please Note all Registered Charity Numbers given are always checked

    with the Charity Commission UK.

  • Market Traders please contact Crofton Carnival before booking, 
  • St John Ambulance will be on Site for all miner emergencies.
  • Stall Holders can use Book Interactive, Download a Booking Form or Ask for a Booking Form up to and on Friday 30 May 2008.

 

Procession Information.

 

The Carnival Procession will start at Crofton High School at 12 noon, Saturday 21st June and make it's way to Crofton Community Centre along the following route: High Street, Santingley Lane and Middle Lane.

The procession will be co-ordinated by Crofton Carnival Committee.

The Carnival Committee are currently in talks with West Yorkshire Police and WMDC about the 2008 Carnival Procession

Groups and Individuals are welcome to join in the procession, Please meet at Crofton High School at 11:30am, 21st June.


 

Santa Clause is Coming to Crofton.

 

Crofton Carnival Committee organise this annual event which is always popular with residents. The event which visits New Crofton and the High Street on Tuesday of the second week in December and Crofton and Shay Lane on Wednesday of the second week in December bringing Christmas cheer to locals.

The event has continued to be supported by local farmer Howard Baines.

The Christmas 2007 event was well supported by local business and residents of Crofton with donations of over £175 going to the 2008 carnival.


 

Yorkshire Day, Fun Day.

 

Crofton Carnival Committee are to organise this new event for Crofton to celebrate Yorkshire Day, the Fun Day will be held on Saturday 2nd August.
